Your Holiday Marketing Is Coming…Do You Have Photos for It? šŸŽ„šŸ“ø

November and December need A LOT of content

For business owners, the holiday season isn't just busy with family and festivities.

It's busy with marketing too.

Black Friday.

Small Business Saturday.

Giving Tuesday.

Holiday promotions.

Gift certificates.

Client thank-yous.

Year-end posts.

Christmas.

New Year's.

That's a lot of content—and suddenly you realize you've used the same three photos of yourself approximately 47 times. šŸ˜†

A little planning now can make holiday marketing much easier.

Start with what you're actually promoting

Before your branding session, look at your November and December calendar.

What will you need to talk about?

Maybe it's:

• holiday gift certificates• a seasonal service• holiday products• Black Friday offers• Small Business Saturday• client appreciation• holiday hours• year-end availability• January bookings

Once we know what you'll be marketing, we can intentionally create photos to go with it.

Holiday branding doesn't have to be cheesy

You don't necessarily need to show up in a Santa hat holding an ornament.

Unless that's your brand. Then I fully support the Santa hat. šŸ˜‚

Holiday content can be subtle.

Think warmer outfits, cozy textures, seasonal products, a beautiful mug, wrapped packages, greenery, or simply a polished look that works well with your holiday graphics.

That way your photos feel seasonal without having a shelf life of two weeks.

Get a few photos with negative space

This is especially important for holiday marketing.

Negative space simply means we intentionally leave an open area in the photograph.

Why?

Because now you have somewhere to add:

ā€œHoliday Specialā€

ā€œGift Certificates Availableā€

ā€œNow Booking 2027ā€

ā€œThank You!ā€

or any other message you need.

These images are perfect for Canva graphics, website banners, emails, and social media.

Don't make every photo holiday-specific

Here's the trick to getting more value from your branding session:

Capture both.

We'll get a handful of images that feel seasonal, but we'll also create evergreen photos you can continue using long after the Christmas decorations come down.

Now your branding session isn't just creating December content.

It's helping you head into the new year with a fresh library of professional images.

Make January easier on yourself

January is when a lot of businesses suddenly decide:

ā€œOkay! New year. Time to get serious about marketing.ā€

Wouldn't it be nice to already have the photos?

A branding session now can give you content for the holidays and professional images ready for your website, social media, email marketing, and promotions going into the new year.

Your future marketing calendar will thank you.
