A branding session should give you more than pretty pictures

Imagine opening your photo gallery and having an image ready for almost anything you want to post.

Need a website banner? Got it.

Introducing yourself on Instagram? Got it.

Posting about your service? Got it.

Announcing something exciting? We've got a photo for that too.

That's why planning a branding session is about more than deciding what outfit to wear.

We're creating a library of images you can actually use.

Start with the places you need photos

Before your session, think about where your images will appear.

Maybe you need photos for:

• your website• Instagram and Facebook• Google Business Profile• LinkedIn• email newsletters• blog posts• advertising• brochures or printed materials

Knowing where you need content helps us plan the types of photos we should capture.

Of course, we need a great headshot

Every branding gallery should include a few strong portraits.

But we don't have to stop with the traditional “smile at the camera” photo.

We can capture different expressions, angles, crops, and compositions so you aren't using the exact same headshot everywhere.

Show what you actually DO

This is where branding photography gets fun.

Think about the actions that happen inside your business.

Depending on what you do, that could mean:

• working on your laptop• talking with a client• creating a product• holding the tools you use• answering your phone• writing or planning• working in your actual space

These images help potential clients visualize what it's like to work with you.

Don't forget the details

Some of the most useful branding photos don't even show your face.

Your hands working, your products, your workspace, your laptop, packaging, coffee cup, tools, notebook, or other business details can become fantastic content.

They're especially helpful when you need an image behind text or a quick social media post.

Leave room for words

Here's one people often forget!

If you're planning to use photos for your website, ads, social graphics, or Canva designs, we can intentionally create images with negative space.

That simply means leaving some open area in the photo where you can later add text.

Those images can be incredibly useful.

Think beyond what you need today

The goal isn't to create enough content for this week.

Let's think ahead.

What are you launching? What services will you promote? What questions do clients frequently ask? What holidays or seasons are coming up?What do you regularly talk about online?

Planning those topics before your session helps us create a gallery that can keep working for your business long after the photoshoot is over.

That's the difference between simply taking professional pictures and intentionally creating brand content.
