Why fall is such a great season for senior pictures

There is something about fall in New Mexico that works beautifully for senior portraits. Cooler evenings, warm golden light, earthy colors, and that unmistakable New Mexico landscape give us so much to work with.

And senior photos during fall don't have to look overly “fall themed.” We can create images that feel warm and seasonal while still keeping the focus completely on your senior.

This is one of my favorite things about fall senior sessions.

You can bring variety without needing completely different looks.

• denim or leather jackets

• dresses with layers

• school or college gear

• letterman jackets

Layers photograph beautifully and make it easy to create several different looks during one session.

Bring options that feel like you rather than choosing something just because it looks like a “senior photo outfit.”

Fall evenings in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho can give us the most beautiful warm light.

Pair that glow with the desert, Bosque, mountains, or another location that fits your personality, and your senior portraits can feel completely different depending on the look you want.
