One Outfit or Five?! How to Plan Your Senior Photo Looks 👗👟🎓
One Outfit or Five?! How to Plan Your Senior Photo Looks 👗👟🎓

You don't need to bring your entire closet
One of the most common questions when planning senior pictures is:
“How many outfits should I bring?”
It's tempting to bring everything you own, but more outfits don't necessarily mean better photos.
The goal is variety without spending your entire session changing clothes.
Choose outfits that show different sides of you
Instead of choosing several outfits that all have the same look, think about creating variety.
For example:
• something casual• something a little dressier• something that represents an activity or sport• a jacket or layer that quickly changes a look
A senior might start in jeans and a favorite top, add a jacket for another look, and then change into something dressier.
That's already a lot of variety!
Pick the outfit you feel AMAZING in
This matters more than what's trending.
If you're uncomfortable in an outfit, chances are you're going to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera too.
Choose clothing that fits well, lets you move, and makes you feel confident.
Your senior pictures should look like you—not like you're wearing a costume for a photoshoot.
Don't forget the details
Before your session, try everything on together—including your shoes.
Look at:
• jewelry• shoes• belts• layers• accessories• undergarments that work with each outfit
It's much easier to make adjustments at home than while we're standing at your photo location!
Fall gives us some fun options
Fall senior sessions are perfect for layers.
A sweater, denim jacket, leather jacket, flannel, or other layer can give us an entirely different look without requiring another full outfit change.
That means more variety and more time actually taking pictures.
Your photos should tell your story
Senior pictures aren't about squeezing as many outfits as possible into one session.
They're about capturing your personality during an important season of your life.
Bring a few looks you genuinely love, and we'll make the most of them.
Years from now, I want you to look at those photos and think, “That was SO me.”
