Welcoming your newborn home is one of the sweetest seasons of life. Lifestyle newborn sessions are designed to feel relaxed, natural, and centered around connection — not perfection.

This simple checklist will help you feel prepared and confident before your session in Albuquerque or Rio Rancho.

✅ BEFORE YOUR SESSION

☐ Feed Baby Close to Session Time

A full baby is a happy baby. Try to feed your little one right before the session begins or have a bottle ready.

☐ Warm the House Slightly

Newborns are most comfortable in warm environments, especially if we plan swaddled or wrapped images.

☐ Open Blinds & Curtains

Natural light is beautiful for lifestyle sessions. Open window coverings to allow soft light inside.

☐ Declutter Main Areas

We typically photograph in:

• Master bedroom

• Nursery

• Living room

No need to deep clean — just clear surfaces and remove distractions.

👶 FOR BABY

☐ Neutral Swaddles or Simple Onesies

Creams, soft grays, light pastels, and earth tones photograph beautifully.

☐ Extra Diapers & Wipes

Blowouts happen. It’s completely normal.

☐ Pacifier (Even if You Rarely Use One)

It can help soothe baby briefly between shots.

☐ Burp Cloth Nearby

Quick cleanups keep everything stress-free.
